ASSURANCE SERVICES

Trusted reporting for businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations across Iowa.

Sound financial reporting builds trust with stakeholders, lenders, donors, and your community. Our assurance team brings decades of experience delivering accurate and independent financial statements you can rely on.

AUDIT SERVICES

HIGHEST LEVEL OF ASSURANCE

The highest level of assurance, an audit provides a methodical review and objective examination of financial statements, including verification of specific information as determined by the auditor or established by professional standards. Based on our findings, we issue a report stating whether the financial statements are fairly presented and free of material misstatements. Through our comprehensive evaluation, we provide accurate, thorough results you can rely on.

REVIEW SERVICES

LIMITED ASSURANCE

Less extensive than an audit but more complex than a compilation, a review engagement consists primarily of analytical procedures applied to the financial statements and inquiries made of your company’s management team. If the financial statements or supporting information appear inconsistent, additional procedures may be necessary. A review is a strong option for organizations that want confidence in their financial position, providing advantages of a CPA’s technical expertise without the work and expense of an audit.

COMPILATION SERVICES

LOWEST LEVEL OF ASSURANCE

In a compilation engagement, we assist in presenting financial information in the form of financial statements. The information provided is the representation of management, and we do not express an opinion or provide assurance on the statements. Compilations do not require inquiries of management or analytical procedures. Instead, we rely on our knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of your business.

PREPARATION SERVICES

PROFESSIONAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

A preparation engagement is designed for businesses that need financial statements prepared in a clear, professional format, but do not require assurance from a CPA. The accountant uses information given by management to prepare the financial statements but does not perform procedures to verify the accuracy or completeness of the information.

AGREED-UPON PROCEDURE

TARGETED FINANCIAL TESTING

Agreed-upon procedures involve specific financial procedures based on the needs of the client. Instead of providing a general opinion or overall assessment, these engagements focus on specific financial areas, transactions, or information. We first work with the client to determine the procedures to be performed and then carry them out with care and precision. Agreed-upon procedures provide factual findings based on the agreed scope of work, without the comprehensive assurance of an audit.
